Bio/Info: Abythos was formed in February of 2005 and has been playing shows locally in Austin almost since the bands inception. With a number of local shows to their credit, Abythos entered the Noise Farm studio after being together for a mere seven months to record their first EP. The band is made up of vocalist Mortryne, bassist Cognatis, drummer Nagrath, and necromantic guitarist Koth. Abythos is dedicated to creating a unique and original blend of black/death and doom metal styles that invoke dark atmospheres in a dynamic manner. The band’s live performances are fast becoming known as an example of depravity and demonic possession due to the vocalist Mortryne’s antics.
