Bio/Info: Against The Wire had been around for a while with it's last big show in early 04' opening up for Seven Mary Three. After a long hiatus, a chance meeting in a bar led to auditions in the garage, to practice, to gigs, to studios. With former members of Art of War and Shockculture: Christian Garza (geeter) Kevin Johnson (bass), and Dave Elias (drums), along with the recent addition of new vocalist Eric Brandon in summer 04', new energy has been added to an already powerful sound heard in the local scene. If you're walking down Bandera Road in San Antonio, TX one evening, you're likely to hear a muffled pulsating sound coming from a grungy detached garage off the side of the road. Four guys pounding out heavy riffs in a garage is nothing new, but the members of Against The Wire treat it like it's an experience that is unique to them. In their dimly lit jam room, creativity and sweat yield song after inspired song. There's no fancy equipment, nobody else to hear them, aside from the occasional rat that scurries through, they play for themselves... to no audience. On stage, the four-piece explodes in a fury as they pour out the energy of their music. Though their name is still unheard outside of South Texas, these veterans have shared the stage with Korn, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Earshot, Seven Mary Three and countless others. And with the sponsorship of the mighty Jagermeister behind them, you will likely hear their name soon.
