Bio/Info: For Centerline, the road to San Antonio began in Lubbock, TX. In 1990, Singer/Songwriter, Bill Sams along with Bassist/Vocalist, Kenny Matlock started Centerline as a Country and Rock cover band. The band gigged extensively in Lubbock and in 1993 Lead Guitarist, Adrian Rodriquez of Plainview, TX joined Centerline and soon after the band worked the West Texas/Eastern New Mexico club circuit. In late 1996, Adrian Rodriquez left Centerline and moved to San Antonio, TX to tour with the TTMA multi-Award Winner and Two-Time Grammy Nominee, Shelly Lares.
When Rodriguez is not touring with Shelly Lares he carries on the Centerline tradition with Paul Sanchez on Lead Vocals and Bass, award winning drummer Adam Arevalos and Steel Guitarist, Randy Gilliam. “Today, the band is about great music, having fun and keeping alive the memory of founding member Bill Sams who committed suicide in 1997.” “He was my friend and mentor and I wouldn’t be here if it were not for him.” “How could I not keep the band going?” “I do it as a way to say thanks to him”, says Rodriquez.
